There must be some reason why some bloggers outperform others. Do you know the reason why?
It’s because they build a strong foundation for their blog.
One of the foundations of a successful blog is to select the perfect niche for your blog.
So in this guide, I will show you how you can select a profitable niche by brainstorming yourself.
Before finding how to select a niche for your blog, do you know what a niche is?
What is a Niche
A niche is simply the topic of your blog. It could be broad like Health & Wellness or very specific like Weight loss for moms etc.
You can have any niche for your blog. But if you are very serious about achieving financial freedom from blogging, then I recommend your niche to be from these four categories
Stuart Walker, an niche expert, said that
Anything involving dating, sex, and relationships (laid), money (paid), and health & fitness (living forever) is profitable.
And I genuinely believe in that because it’s the basic human needs. Every human needs money, a partner (relationships), and good health to survive.
It’s also OK if your niche in the general interest. As many have hobbies and they love doing it.
How to Brainstorm Niche for Your Blog
You don’t need to find the perfect niche somewhere else. It should come from within you.
Yes, you read it right. You already have a lot of niche ideas.
So let me show you how to discover your niche in simple steps.
Step 1: Think about your passions and expertise
Blogging requires a significant investment of your time, and it takes a long time before you can get the benefits.
If you choose a niche for which you have a real passion, it will be much easier to hold on, that is obvious.
So think about your passions and the topics you have good knowledge.
For me, blogging was my passion and eventually became an expert in starting a blog as I have experience in starting many blogs in the past.
That’s the reason I started this blog. I am sharing my passion and expertise with you in the form of this blog.
What makes this difficult is that when you think your ideas are wrong. Remember it’s personal, so write all the topics down in a paper that you are interested in building a blog.
Step 2: Think about your hobbies
Hobbies can be a perfect starting point for a blog: These are the things that you enjoy doing, and that gives you energy.
This makes it a lot easier to blog about this and especially to continue to do this consistently.
Write down all of your hobbies even if it’s a weird one.
Step 3: Think about what else are you interested in?
Apart from your passion, expertise, and hobbies, you will probably be interested in other things. For example, something you would like to learn/discover yourself or are already working on.
By blogging on such a topic, you will find that you process the information much better and understand it.
‘If you want to learn something better yourself, there is a psychological trick: Explain what you learn to someone else, a friend, for example. This way, you understand and remember this information much better.’
So write down all the topics you would like to learn and master.
You have Just Extracted Dozens Of Profitable Niches
You have just found profitable niche ideas from your passion, hobbies, etc.
All of your passions are profitable niches because most of the others have the same passion, and they spend their money on this.
Your hobbies are shared by many in this world.
The topics you want to learn are the topic that many of the others also want to learn.
What all topics you think are your passion or your hobbies are also passion and hobbies for millions.
So don’t hesitate thinking your niche is not good. Trust your instinct and select a niche that you are passionate and would like the most from this.
